About Us
NewYorkSocialWorkEDU.org
Becoming a great social worker takes heart and dedication. You get up every morning dedicated to righting some injustice that’s afflicting our communities. And you do it knowing it’s a privilege as much as a duty.
Not all of us can contribute to stomping out hunger on a global scale down at the UN headquarters, though there are certainly New York social workers who do exactly that. But every one of us can do our part. And if that means making sure kids in the South Bronx get a square meal as part of their school day, you better believe that makes all the difference in the world in those lives.
In either case, as a social worker you go to bed knowing that you fought the good fight… for an individual, for your community, for society.
What You’ll Get From NewYorkSocialWorkEDU.org
And for a mission like that, you deserve every bit of support you can get. At NewYorkSocialWorkEDU.org, we understand that you need that support now—not after you’ve landed your social work job, not when you graduate from your MSW program, not even when you start in on your bachelor’s degree.
Before all that, you need to understand your options for getting an education in the field, and you need all the facts about becoming a licensed social worker in New York. And it’s also a good idea to start figuring out exactly what kind of jobs will be available once you graduate, and how they may differ between Manhattan and Lake Placid.
We’ve got you covered right here with everything you need to know on your way to saving the world.
